Problogger is sponsoring a contest this week that I really wanted to enter. Participants write a blog entry on a particular subject (in this case, the prompt is “Top 5″), submit their post, and at the end of the week, a random post is selected to win a prize. I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity for the prize, or the opportunity to have my blog read (and read the blogs of others that I wouldn’t otherwise know about), so I decided to enter.

Of course, I have precisely zero content, and having people visit my site right now is, well, a bit embarrassing. But I got the blog set up more or less the way I want it, and there will be great articles in coming days. So I figure I just need to get readers to stick around for a few days while I add more content.

So with that, I present my Top 5 Reasons to Visit and Subscribe to ecocheap.

5. Because the name “ecocheap” is catchy and interesting. Let’s be honest- isn’t it nifty to visit a website with a cool name?

4. Because we’ll be launching a contest to give away a free radiant barrier to a lucky reader in the near future, and you want to get in on the action. Because a weenie little tax credit on a hellishly expensive solar panel installation isn’t a solution. It’s part of the problem. At ecocheap, we believe that when earth friendly solutions that make sense are made available to the public, the public will choose the green option. Because we realize this information is largely unavailable, we’ve created ecocheap to bring practical and affordable green solutions to the masses.
